Gender Discrimination:
Gender discrimination means showing different attitudes and giving different treatment to different people on the basis of their gender. The girls are the worst victims of gender discrimination. Their health and education are affected because of gender discrimination. The girls eat less then their male counterpart. So they become physically feeble. Education of the girls is not taken on a priority basis. If the parents can't afford the considers essential. The girls are married off by their parents before they come of age . And in selecting the bridegroom the girl's opinion is considered useless. Even in the family the wife does not enjoy any decision making power. The worst incident of gender discrimination is the torturing of the women by their male counterpart . The women don't know how to resist torture an where to seek justice. In order to bring about a change in the position of the women , Women themselves should rise up and protest. This would be possible only when the women would be educated. we should change our attitude towards the women.
Deforestation:
Deforestation mast cutting down or destroying trees at random . Deforestation takes place as a result of population problem, excessive pressure on land. Population is increasing at a high rate. This additional department are also responsible for decreasing the percentage of trees and forests. The most serious deforestation is found in the tropical countries and in the countries of the third world. However, the after-effects of deforestation are catastrophic in quality and many in number. Trees keep the balance of oxygen and carbon di-oxide in the at most here. When trees are cut down indiscriminately . The amount of carbon di-oxide increases. This causes global warning. As a result the sea level rises and it causes floods and other natural we should be conscious about the harmful effects of cutting trees. We should plant trees on both sides of road and highways , and on waste land to prevent deforestation.
A Hartal day:
A hartal day is a day of shut-down of work in protest throughout a wide area or even throughout the whole country . Generally political parties or labor organizations or many other socio-cultural organizations call hartal on a particular day to press their demands to the ruling government. When dissatisfaction grows among the opposition, hartals observed to compel the authority markets, mills and factories often remain closed . The movements of vehicles on road are obstructed . On processions and different exciting slogans . The police forces are deployed on important points to maintain law and order. Despite that the picketers sometimes create panic to make their programmed successful. Serious damage of properties and loss of life occur many times. Though hartal sometimes solves problems, it is very harmful for a country's. So it should be controlled and banned.
Environment pollution:
Environment pollution means a remarkable change in chemical, physical and biological characteristics of environment. The main elements of environment are human beings, animals , plant , soil, air and waste and filth. Another form of environment pollution is sound pollution. Sound is polluted by vehicle horns and microphones. Odour is polluted by dumped and untreated human waste . I our environment is over the world. We suffer from various fatal and chromic diseases due to environmental pollution. Environment pollution causes changes in the world's climate and bringh about different kids of natural disasters. It hinders the balance and harmony of environment . So we should take steps to prevent environmental pollution. We should be kind to animals and plant more trees. We should raise consciousness among the common people about the destructive effects of environmental pollution.
Water pollution :
Water is a very important element of human environment . I tis essential element of nature because it saves all kids of lives on earth . Clean water is healthful but polluted water is very harmful. Nowadays water pollution is one of the serious problems that humanity face. Water pollution refers to the contamination of water by filth, waste or other substances . It can be polluted in many ways. water is polluted by using chemical fertilizers an various insecticides in the land when they are washed away by rain or flood. Mills and factories throw their waste products into rivers and canals and thus pollute water. Again motor launches, steamers pollute water by throwing oil, food waste and human waste. Another aspect is pollution of underground water by arsenic. By drinking this polluted water, we often get sick and may even die. So, we must prevent water pollution at any cost . Water can be purified by boiling it and using purifying tables. All concerned must be conscious to keep water free from pollution. Govt. should take all , for a healthier and a happier life, massive awareness must be created against water pollution.
Air pollution:
Air is a very important element in our environment. No creature can live without air. It is the life giving force. Clean air is essential for life but polluted air is very harmful. Air can be polluted in many ways. The most common agent that pollutes air is smoke. Smoke is produced when we cook food, burn bricks and refuse. It is also produced when we melt pitch for road construction. Innumerable buses, trucks and cars plying in big cities use petrol, diesel and oil. When they are burnt, they create smoke and pollute the air. Mills and factories in large industrial areas also cause serious air pollution. Railway engines and powerhouses also pollute air . By inhaling this polluted air we become sick. So , for healthier and happier life, we should keep our environment free from air pollution.
Sound pollution:
Nowadays sound pollution is one of the worst forms of pollution. Sound pollution has some causes. It is caused by high pitched sound , continuous blaring of sound or sudden shrieking sound. The effect of this pollutions dangerous . Thy often lead to deafness, mental imbalance and even heart-failure. There are many other factors that cause sound pollution. Indiscriminate use of microphones, shrill electric horns of motor vehicles, sounds made by buses, trucks, aero lances, various fireworks cause sound pollution. The sounds made by mikes, cassettes etc. are really intolerable. People must be aware of the dangers of sound pollution. Noises should be effectively controlled by imposing injections on those who are engaged in creating sound pollution.
